Gurgaon is known as India’s “Millennium City” since in recent times it has been emerging as the business hub of the country– bringing in many private investors and builders.

Gurgaon is known as India’s “Millennium City.” Since the turn of the 21st century, it has emerged as one of the most prosperous cities in the country. The city was developed by as a planned township. Private companies invested in building apartments, supplying water, electricity and almost all amenities. Gurgaon eventually became a business hub. These companies were attracted to the scope of expansion that the city provided, since it was built on acres of emptied farmland. Adjacent to the national capital, Gurgaon was considered to be a prime location.

In years to follow, many say that Gurgaon has also become a city for the elite. Drawn in by business, employment and the chance at a luxurious lifestyle, many young workers moved to the city. Real estate values also made it an attractive prospect for well-heeled home buyers. As a result, more shopping malls, high-class apartments, and expensive restaurants are popping up around the city.
